The Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners Transportation and Finance Committee will be holding meeting regarding transportation in our county. Of note, the "People's Transportation Plan" Five-Year Plan will be voted on as amended (with Bus Rapid Transit for the South Corridor instead of Metrorail technology). Also, the county will be voting on implementing technology and software from Swiftly, INC. to increase the efficiency of public transit (this contract is worth $1,980,000). Make sure you have your voice heard by showing up. A reminder that almost none of the proposals approved by this People's Transportation Plan have been implemented.
