MIAMI BEACH CYCLING AND SAFE STREETS ADVOCATES TO HOLD MEMORIAL AND REMARKS FOLLOWING THE DEATH OF BICYCLIST MIGUEL ORTIZ AFTER BEING HIT BY DRIVER

Miami Beach residents, members of the bicycling community, and friends  and family of Miguel Ortiz will gather Thursday evening for a vigil and  memorial for Miguel who struck and killed while riding his bicycle near the Venetian Causeway last Tuesday. We will also call for immediate design/safety improvements at this intersection and for best practices to be followed in all future projects citywide.

When: Thursday, February 24, 5 p.m.

Where: Dade Blvd & Purdy Ave, Miami Beach (Across from Maurice Gibb 
Park)
